Running my race with God

In the face of trauma,

I as a human being, have the tendency to retraumatize myself.

Life becomes a comparison game.
I learned that I should run my own race.

That's what I have to do.

I shouldnt listen to anyone comparing me to anyone else.

When we begin with what we have,

as opposed to what we dont have,

we are often surprised at how very much God has given us with which to work.
No doubt the Lord has brought special people into my life who have helped me develop these characteristics and have affirmed my growth along the way.
I thank God for the wonderful affirming people

He has brought into my life.

I thank God for creating me.
